Getting Started with NoForm.ai: From Website URL to Installed Assistant

Welcome to NoForm.ai! This guide maps your end-to-end journey, taking you from a simple website URL to a live AI Assistant that engages visitors, answers questions, and generates qualified Leads.

1. Initial Creation

The fastest way to build your assistant is by letting NoForm.ai read your existing website.

  1. Enter your Website URL on the NoForm.ai homepage.

  2. Click the Try for free button.

πŸ“ Note: During this step, NoForm automatically crawls your website to create initial Web Sources. This forms the foundational knowledge base your AI will use to answer visitor questions.

2. Preview & Account Creation

After the initial crawl, you are placed in a 'Draft' state where you can immediately test the assistant.

  1. Interact with the preview to see how the AI responds based on your website's content.

  2. Click Save progress and Continue to create your organization account and save this configuration.

3. Set a Login + Password pair or use Google SSO to complete the account creation.

3. Assistant Configuration

Once your account is created, define how your assistant behaves and what data it collects.

  • Setup: Navigate here to set the personality, tone, and core interaction rules for your assistant.

  • Lead Qualification: Define the specific Attributes (such as email, phone number, or company name) the AI is tasked to collect before concluding a chat.

  • Engagement: Set up proactive messaging and greeting behaviors to capture visitor attention.

  • Visibility: Control the exact pages and conditions where your assistant appears on your site.

4. Training Center

The Training Center is the dedicated dashboard area for managing your AI's knowledge sources.

  1. Navigate to the Training Center.

  2. Review your auto-generated Web Sources created from your initial URL crawl.

  3. Upload specific Documents (like PDFs or text files) to provide internal context or offline knowledge.

πŸ’‘ Tip: Perform regular content audits in the Training Center to ensure the AI's knowledge stays accurate as your business evolves.

5. Appearance

Make the assistant feel native to your brand.

  1. Navigate to Display Settings.

  2. Customize the visual appearance of your Chat Widget, including brand colors, widget position, and your company logo.

6. Testing Your Assistant

Always test your configuration before putting it in front of real visitors.

  1. Use test chats on Assistants and Training Center tabs.

  2. Copy the Share option in Installation tab to share your assistant with coworkers.

  3. Use the Share link to simulate visitor interactions and create test Chats and Leads to see how system performs.

7. Installation & Billing

To deploy the assistant to your website, you need to install the JavaScript Code Snippet.

❗Warning: Accessing the Code Snippet requires an active subscription. Navigate to the Billing panel to activate your plan before attempting installation.

  1. Go to the installation section and choose your preferred Chat Widget format:

    • Bubble Chat: The floating widget usually found in the bottom right of the screen.

    • Embedded Chat: The inline version of the chat that lives directly within your page layout.

  2. Enter your website in the Allowed Domain settings. This is a crucial security requirement that ensures your widget only loads on authorized sites.

  3. Copy the Code Snippet and paste it into the <head> or <body> tag of your website.

  4. Click Publish Changes to push your configuration from "Draft" to "Live."

8. Lead Management

Once your assistant is live, it works 24/7 to qualify visitors.

  • When an interaction successfully collects the Required Attributes (Email or Phone), it generates a Lead.

  • Navigate to the Leads / Inbox section to view chat details, metadata, and user data.

  • You will receive immediate email notifications for new leads and weekly email insights based on overall chat history.

  • You can mark Leads as 'Contacted' in the NoForm Leads table.
